Wednesday, July 25 Steve went hiking with the men after Iron
Hour. They went to Shrine Mountain Pass. Steve came home so excited about all the wild flowers in bloom there. He said we should go back and take some photos. Shrine Mountain is just off I-70 inbetween Copper Mt. and Vail. Here are some photos from the next day when we went back with Lucy. This was Lucy's longest hike since her ACL surgery. The wild flowers were really very pretty. The Indian Paint Brushes varied in all sorts of colors. The pink tiny flowers are Little Red Elephants, their flower resembles an elephants head up close. The photo of me in between the split evergreen was a mystery to us as to how that happened. It made a cool frame though! More photos to come from Neil and Michelle's visit.

Wow..those wildflowers are spectacular! I would love to have all native wildflowers all over the farm. Great photos!
