Lucy and Steve ran in the K9-4K race in Frisco this past Saturday. They had not run in that race since 2005. Since then Lucy has had 3 surgeries. She had both her ACLs rebuilt and 4 cancerous lumps removed. For being 11 she is doing great these days and has been running with Steve. They came in 2nd in Steve's age group, 10th in the men's division, and 12th overall. After the race they had 2 baby pools set up for the dogs to cool off in. Lucy has the same pool at our home so she was very comfortable cooling off in one of them. She loves the water so much and seemed to have more energy to burn that we took her to the lake to swim. It was a very fun event to be a part of.
