Oh Be Joyful

We went camping last week with friends. The name of the campsite was Oh Be Joyful and it was near the town of Crested Butte, Colorado. Roy, Nancy, and their 2 dogs River and Bonnie camped 2 of the 3 nights with us. We slept in our tent and Roy and Nancy camp out in their truck. Roy and Gayle traveled to Crested Butte and toured with us the first day, but then stayed at a hotel before heading home the next day. Lucy was very entertained by a resident chipmunk family. She watched for them to come out of their hole for hours. Then she'd stalk them, chase them, and never got one. As you can see the scenery was very beautiful there and some of the roads we rode on were pretty narrow and bumpy. I describe those types of roads as roads my sister Diane would definitely not want to take! We took a hike around Lake Irvine and the dogs enjoyed swimming. Downtown Crested Butte was very pretty and quaint. The wildflowers were just gorgeous in some areas. These photos are not quite in the correct order. The last day we saw this marmot at the side of the road. We stopped to take photos. The longer we stayed the more pissed off he got and he started chirping at us. Then, in this last photo, it looks like he is giving me a gang sign to scare us off!! Too funny!
