Our first stop on our road trip with Olive and Otis was Flaming Gorge, Utah. It is in the NE corner of the state. Dad had been there about 30 years ago and wanted to show Olive the area. It was very pretty. We stayed in Red Canyon Lodge. We faced the east and had a very nice view across the lake of the sunrise. We stayed there 3 nights and had all of our dinners there. Around that time these mule deers would come out and eat from the bird feeder right within view of our table. The baby deers were especially playful, romping around like puppies. Steve and I took a hike near our lodge and stumbled across these ram horn sheep. We took some photos and admired them from the trail. Then we decided to turn around as there were more of them than us. On our entire road trip we ran across probably thousands of antelope along the way. The 2 you see on this blog were especially tame and not bothered by us slowing down to take photos.
