Macullough Gulch Hike

Last Monday we went on a very nice hike with our good friends Don and Constance. McCullough Gulch is south of Breckenridge. It was a very nice hike as you can see from the photos. We ate lunch at the top of the mountain by the lake. There was still quite a bit of un-melted snow around. There were some unusual wildflowers like the purple one pictured, not sure what that flower is. On the way down a woman in her 70's fell and hurt one of her legs. All of her friends were trying to get her down the mountain by using their walking sticks and a blanket as a cot to carry her. They weren't even half way down when we passed them. Someone called search and rescue and they came out in full force to help. We never did find out the entire story about what happened.
